Minister for Data Protection and Telecoms, Sir Chris Bryant, gave a speech at London Tech Week on Wednesday 11 June 2025.

We’re honoured that Skills Enterprise and the inspiring story of Kalpana were featured in a keynote speech by Minister Sir Chris Bryant at London Tech Week 2025. 

"The first time Kalpana went to Skills Enterprise – a digital training hub run out of a community centre in Newham, East London – she hadn’t used a laptop before."

Kalpana’s journey – from lacking confidence with technology to now supporting others – is a powerful example of how digital inclusion can truly change lives.
